Mardi Gras King Cake - Part 2 - Rolling Out the Dough!

Yesterday, I shared some Mardi Gras links and recipes with you.  Also, I started making my King Cake.  I mixed up the dough and had to let it rise for an hour.  I was having trouble getting it to rise because my house was SO COLD!  So, I moved the dough into the bathroom, near a heater.  Then, the dough went into the frig overnight.

This morning, I mixed up the pecan filling (YUMMY!!).  Then, I rolled out the dough, spread the filling, rolled it back up, and formed the King Cake shape.  Now, it is sitting for 45 minutes to rise some more….then it’s off to the oven!

I’ll post these pictures of what I did this morning.  When it’s finished, I’ll post that picture too!
